Depression

Depression is more than just feeling sad—it can be a persistent and overwhelming condition that affects how you think, feel, and function in daily life. While everyone experiences ups and downs, depression can cause prolonged feelings of hopelessness, exhaustion, or disinterest in things that once brought joy. It can impact relationships, work, and overall well-being. Depression could involve:

  • Physical symptoms may include low energy, sleep disturbances, changes in appetite, or unexplained aches and pains

  • Cognitive symptoms may include difficulty concentrating, negative self-talk, or a sense of worthlessness

  • Emotional symptoms may include persistent sadness, numbness, irritability, or feelings of guilt

  • Behavioural symptoms may include withdrawing from others, loss of motivation, or struggling with daily tasks

In therapy, I help you make sense of what you’re feeling and why it might be happening. Together, we’ll explore your patterns with compassion, work to challenge unhelpful thought loops, and reconnect you with what matters most to you. There’s no pressure to “snap out of it”. Instead, we work together to create space, build insight, and move gently toward relief and resilience.
